Dickey’s Dugout Inc was officially established in April of 2016 and launched it’s current location in March of 2018.
Dickey’s Dugout was created out of a simple but powerful need Haleigh saw over and over again: talented girls working hard, yet feeling stuck physcially or mentally — and parents wanting to help, but unsure how.
Too many athletes train without true game application. Too many families juggle conflicting messages, short-term fixes, and “pressure” created by language. We wanted to build a place where development is intentional, progress is measurable, and athletes feel supported every step of the way.
This is a place where girls are taught how to work, how to lead, and how to trust themselves — not just how to swing, throw, or catch.
We work with athletes at all stages of their journey — from beginners building foundations to competitive players with college aspirations to the girls on the big screen home for break.
We also work closely with parents, because development doesn’t stop at the facility doors. When families understand the process, athletes thrive.
Whether your athlete is here for private lessons, memberships, or our specialized academies, they are met with the same standard: they matter, and their growth matters.
If you’re here, it’s likely because you’re searching for more than just another place to train.
There are many places to work on skills.
There are far fewer places committed to truly developing the athlete — and the person — as a whole.
That’s why Dickey’s Dugout exists.
Here, development is not random. We believe athletes deserve clarity, consistency, and a plan. Our training follows clear development pathways so girls understand what they’re working toward and why it matters. They are not bouncing between mixed messages or chasing quick fixes — they’re learning a unified coaching language, grounded in one shared philosophy and reinforced by a team of instructors aligned in purpose.
We train with intention — not noise.
We also believe no athlete grows alone. Our coaching staff works together. Our athletes grow together. And our parents are part of the process. Communication and trust are foundational here, not optional. When parents understand the journey, athletes feel safer, stronger, and more supported taking it.
At Dickey’s Dugout, we don’t just ask athletes to work harder.
We teach them how to work smarter — with confidence, ownership, and purpose.
Just as important as instruction is the environment in which it’s delivered.
We are deeply intentional about the culture we create, because environment shapes the athlete just as much as the drills do.
This is a place where:
Athletes are pushed to choose their best self
Failure is expected and used as a tool for growth
Awareness and courage is required and celebrated
Confidence is built through preparation and reflection, not demanded through pressure
Girls support girls — on and off the field
Here, athletes learn how to compete fiercely while still lifting one another up. They train together, struggle together, and grow together — developing not just as players, but as teammates and young women.
Belonging matters. Accountability matters. And shared purpose changes everything.
If you’re looking for a place that values the process, honors the individual, and believes development is about more than performance — you’re in the right place.
